We want to make your child's visit a positive experience. From our entertainment area to our energetic staff, we've created a fun, kid-friendly environment. Dr. Naik is a caring children's dentist who values the opportunity to give your child a happy, healthy smile.
We recommend you bring your child for a first appointment around three years of age, or earlier if you notice problems. Dr. Naik will gently and carefully examine each tooth in your child's smile. She'll check for proper tooth development and bite alignment and may suggest therapies to prevent or treat dental decay.
ADA-Recognized Cavity Fighters
As a parent, you know it can be a challenge to keep your child's teeth clean. Kids may resist brushing, and most can't do a proper job themselves. That's why Dr. Naik offers ADA-recognized, cavity-fighting dental sealants and fluoride treatments.
Dental Sealants – Deep grooves in back teeth can harbor cavity-causing bacteria. Sealants are thin plastic coatings that fill these grooves to create a smooth surface that's easy to clean and resistant to decay. The procedure is quick and comfortable, and sealants can last up to ten years.
Toothprints® - Dr. Naik offers Toothprints® to all her patients. Toothprints® was developed by a pediatric dentist who began using dental bite impressions as a way of safeguarding his own child. Like fingerprints, dental imprints are unique to every person. Ask about Toothprints® at your childs next appointment.
Fluoride Treatments – Fluoride is another proven treatment in the fight against cavities. Children who drink bottled instead of tap water may not get the fluoride they need to deter tooth decay. Fluoride is like armor for smiles. It bonds with other minerals to strengthen and protect teeth and create a barrier against cavity-causing bacteria and plaque. We sometimes recommend supplemental fluoride for adult smiles, too!
