Educational Tools

During your checkup, Dr. Naik will use a small hand-held intraoral camera to take pictures inside your mouth. She'll display the images on your chairside monitor to explain her findings and suggested therapies and to help you become an informed partner in treatment planning. Dr. Naik may use our digital imaging software or a wax up to create a preview of your new smile. These tools provide useful information to help you determine which therapies will deliver your ideal smile.

Digital Diagnostics

A full set of digital X-rays aids in efficient diagnoses and treatment of dental issues. Digital X-rays emit about 80% less radiation than traditional radiography and require no harsh developing chemicals. The images can be immediately viewed on chairside monitors and electronically transmitted to insurance companies and specialists.

Our digital Panorex provides a panoramic, two-dimensional image of your entire oral cavity. This highly detailed picture helps Dr. Naik diagnose issues not easily found during a manual or visual exam.

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer is a stealthy disease that often goes undetected until it has reached the neck or lymph nodes. Early diagnosis greatly improves survival chances, so Dr. Naik conscientiously screens for this disease. She uses a ViziLite which employs a special mouth rinse and light to identify suspicious mouth tissue that requires additional investigation.

For Your Comfort

We understand that many people experience dental anxiety. It's a common fear, but one that we'll help you overcome. Our entire staff will do all they can to put you at ease and provide the compassionate care you deserve. Many patients are calmed by Dr. Naik's easy-going demeanor and gentle touch. If you need additional soothing, Dr. Naik may administer nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, during treatment.
